Peter A. Bee

Mr. Bee presently provides oversight and assistance to virtually all aspects of the firm business. However, he concentrates his personal practice primarily in the areas of management-side labor/employment law, and municipal law.

He has extensive experience in local government operations, municipal regulation of land use, civil service law, as well as in the negotiation and administration of both public and private sector collective bargaining agreements.

He has represented local governments at virtually all levels, from small special districts, to Villages, to Towns and Counties, primarily assisting them in their personnel issues (including compliance with public sector employment and civil service laws, and in the defense of discrimination claims), as well as with their land use issues (including the drafting of zoning legislation, SEQRA compliance, and acting as Counsel to local land use boards and commissions). He believes his prior experience as an elected official has helped him provide practical solutions to his clients, as well as proper textbook law.

Amongst the many recognitions received for his professional and community services, Mr. Bee is particularly proud to have been a recipient of the Robert W. MacGregor Labor Relations and Community Service Ward, the Nassau County Volunteer of the Year Award, and the Garden City Citizen of the Year Award.
Mr. Bee was a contributor to the First Edition of “Public Sector Labor Law” (NYS Bar Association’s Textbook) and has authored numerous articles on municipal law which have appeared through his column “Counsel’s Corner” in the Suffolk County Village Officials Association’s (“SC VOA’s”) monthly newsletters.
Mr. Bee is Counsel to the Suffolk County Village Officials Association, a past member of the Nassau County Village Officials Association Executive Board, Counsel to the Suffolk County Highway Superintendent’s Association, a past member of the NYS Public Employers Labor Relations Association (“PELRA”), a multi-jurisdictional representative to the New York State Conference of Mayors, Past President and current member of the Long Island Chapter of the Labor & Employment Relations Association (“LERA”), and the Community Member of the NYU/Winthrop Hospital Institutional Review Board.
